Am o placa de baza Gigabyte 81R2003. Am un modul de 1 GB memorie DDR-400 si 2 module de 512MB DDR-400. Memoria lucreaza la 266MHz. Modulul de 1 GB este Geil si cele de 512MB sunt kingston, identice.

In manual scrie ca suporta maxim 2GB RAM, totusi eu vad doar 1.5GB RAM. Memtest86 nu da nici o eroare insa.

Am modificat latentele memoriilor la diferite valori, acum sunt 1.5-2-2-5, fara nici un rezultat.

In manual mai scrie:

Sa fie memoria astfel facuta incat in total sa aiba mai mult de 4 bancuri? Cum pot sa aflu specificatiile memoriei? Ce pot face in acest caz? Am incercat deja un update de BIOS dar fara nici un rezultat.

nu stiu daca se aplica aici...dar gigabyte avea ceva probleme de compatibilitate cu memoriile..in sensul ca sunt probleme cu diferiti producatori...
nu cred ca asta e problema...
incearca o configuratie doar cu cele de 512...vezi daca le recunoaste pe amandoua si inverseaza-le intre ele (a avut un coleg de-al meu o astfel de problema---A-B mergea pana la un moment dat...apoi dadea BSOD; B-A nu pornea sistemul....) daca totul merge ok...atunci alta e problema...

Nu prea ai ce sa faci. Incearca sa schimbi cele 2 DIMM-uri de 512M cu unul de 1G

Thanks icsfails. Se pare ca toate sunt double-sided, de unde 6 bancuri de memorie -- mai mult decat suporta placa... Sa daca daca pot face un schimb...
