In ciuda afirmatiilor initiale, VAIO a lansat oficial la CES primul netbook prin seria P. Dotat cu acelasi procesor Atom intalnit la netbook-urile actuale, Sony vine tare din spate cu o serie de dotari in plus fata de competitie:

  • 8" X-black LCD 1600 x 768 (LED backlight)
  • 2GB RAM
  • Windows Vista Home Basic sau Premium
  • XrossMediaBar - interfata preluata de la PSP cu ajutorul careia poate reda muzica, filme, imagini fara a initia sistemul de operare, chiar si navigare pe internet sau IM
  • Conectivitate 3G (Wireless WAN)
  • GPS


Dupa cum puteti vedea in imagini, este foarte compact datorita absentei touchpad-ului, acesta fiind inlocuit cu un "Pointing Stick" asemanator celor folosite de IBM si Lenovo. Preturile sunt pe masura, intre 900$ pentru modelul cu HDD de 60GB si 1500$ cel cu SSD 128GB. Mai multe detalii aici.
